Her presence tells us that she is not the downfall of humanity; she is the light of the divine in her sovereignty, power, and righteousness.

Inspired by the story of Chang’e, this piece reinterprets the moon goddess not as a lonely figure punished for stealing her husband’s elixir of life, but as a triumphant force of inner authority. Framed by a luminous full moon, she moves with elegance and strength. In her hands, she holds aloft sweeping branches of vibrant Chinese lantern flowers and fragrant osmanthus, while a lush foreground of chrysanthemums anchors her being.
